Ok. Im wondering if i can use a oem subaru keyless entry system on my 1993 Legacy Turbo. I do know i will need an acctuator to make everthing work smoothly. I am thinking of using a 2000ish legacy module and remotes and really i dont care about what the remotes look like. I just DONT want aftermarket crap.
Thanks!

the oem modules back then were made by alpine. and inegrate withe factory harnesses for those years only. Don't bother. Go buy a DEI ("your valet") unit and an actuator and call it a day. It will even have an output for a starterkill relay.

back in the day subaru used their own branded version of a code alarm system. but it was not plug and play so there is no real advantage other than your remote saying subaru. my code alarm system came with the car (no remotes) it was FORD BRANDED !!! but it works. the door has an actuator shoddily attached to the driver door. it does work but if you are going to buy a system i would not recommend it.
