Hey guys. I noticed my eyes are REALLY bothering me with this power steering leaking on the motor creating alot of fumes and now that I am driving the car everyday it is becoming a huge issue seeing things actually. I am wondering if for now I can dump a bit of this transmission stop leak in the power steering reservoir. Think it will damage it using this stuff main thing is will it harm anything incase the leak at the pump still continues.

the lucas stuff is crap. it won't help probably make things worse. Fix the leak.

Yeah, fix it right. The pump really isn't that bad to work with. I've taken 2 apart myself.

That stop leak stuff is just thicker fluid. They do make one specifically for power steering, and it's basically the same thing. Doesn't fix the problem.

Ok, saw a few people have pulled apart there pumps. I have a kit full of pretty well ANY possible size o ring that would be in that pump. Is it basically just o rings and the bearing that leaks? I figure all I will need to buy is a new sealed bearing. It is like $100 for a new rebuilt pump. Are there places I could take the pump and get it rebuilt cheap? This morning when i turned on teh car in the cold it was screaming like mad, after it warmed up it quieted down alot need to check the fluid after class before I leave. I also noticed my speedocable is grinding I guess Ill pull it out from the tranny end and put some lithium grease on it. Today was like -30C without the windshield.

Any know of a better product that might work? I am still tempted to put lucas at this point especially at this temperature it is a real pain to pull the pump, and like I said I cannot stand the fluid burning. Today my eyes are still bothering me a bit. When I do remove the pump how can I plug the two lines ? I hate having the fluid driving all over the place.

The rebuild kit is PN 34415AA100 for the 93 & 94. Not sure what changed. The kit included everything in #9.

As far as fluid not escaping, remove the pump before you disconnect the lines, then just keep them raised so no fluid drips out.

Awesome exactly what I was looking for! Going to get two kits and do the wagon and the sedan. Hopefully the rack is fine on the sedan. Seems ok though.

I told the dealer the partnumber he said its a connector not a rebuild kit.

Perhaps just a typo, but it's 34419AA100 for the 93/94's

Oops! Yep, that's a typo, the connector was the next part number down. Sorry about that!

not a problem going to give the dealer a car and get another price.

The 90-92 repair kit is 34419AA030.

Two differences:
- The little wavy-looking washers, a6, are not in the 93-94 kit.
- The shaft bearing, and thus the front seal, a3, are smaller for 90-92.

great, i just noticed my pump leaking a little fluid on my clean rebuild block. time to order!
