So this just came up. The motor has 240k on it and running a tdo4 and saab top mount for about 7k now. I recently just installed a 3" tbe, ebay uppipe, and walbro fuel pump.
Now Ive noticed that I have a click, tick what ever you wanna call it at 4k in every gear. But not in neutral. If I gradually speed/drive up to 4k with no boost I can hear the noise. Its real faint but sounds like its coming from the passenger side of the car.
If I hit boost at 3k and ride it up to 5500rpms I dont hear the noise.

Just wondering what you think it maybe. Valve tick, lifter noise or even a exhaust leak. Now I do have a slight lifter noise in the morning or cold days but it goes away a couple mins of warming up.


Im planning on inspecting it tomorrow for leaks and the turbo and up/down pipe

I bet its your ebay uppipe cracking.Or maybe just leaking

na its not the pipe craking. I would hear it more often. I just hear it around 4k

Could be a leak since I reused the gasket (stupid gaskets came the next day when I was done)

i had a heat shield rattling only when i was at 1900 rpm but it wouldnt do it nuetral
