Hey my name is Tim I just turned 20, I've always been a Subaru fan, my aunt has had about 5 Legacy's a XT and currently has an SVX, but I've just feel into a Mitsubishi family. My Mom has two 3000gt Vr4's and a Galant Vr4, between myself older brother, and older sister we probably had about 30 or so DSMs, no exaggeration. Right now I currently own a 95 Eagle Talon which I'm selling to get into a Subaru, which will be my 2nd, I used to own a 91 Legacy LS, also own a 2003 Saab 9-5 Aero (Right before they turned Saabaru) and a 1991 Galant Vr4 my pride and joy.

Heres some pictures in case any one is interested. The pictures of the Galant are all old because its currently under construction aiming for 400awhp on the stock block. Image

Perhaps they don't have clay in the PNW?

I've told the story a few times, but I almost had a GVR4 for my first car. 1991; number 1803/2000. Engine tried to stall when the clutch was disengaged; I was a dumb 16-year-old and thought it needed a clutch. Ended up not getting it, and got my Legacy instead. Later learned about DSM crank walk, so it's a good thing I didn't get the GVR4.

Yet, I still want one.

I love the 9-5 too. Auto or 5spd? The B235 is based on the old Saab 900 design from what I understand. That's the ONLY engine in Saab's lineup that's still a Saab design. Everything else is purely GM.

Did you buy the car new? Have you had a problem with sludge?

How does that car handle? I know it's essentially a Vectra, which is supposed to be one of the worst-handling cars of all time.

Welcome, by the way :)

Please tell me you put the bronze 5 spokes back on and didn't leave those bright green eye sores on!

The Gvr4 came with the 6bolt motor which crank walk is pretty much irrelevant in, which is why I also swapped a 6bolt into the Talon instead of the 7bolt. Allthough crankwalk is alot less common then people think its only happened for about 5% of the cars.

I also know from looking at the Gvr4 registry number 1803 is still in AZ.

I bought the Saab used and nothing has went wrong with it, yet. Its a 5 speed, as far as handling goes, I can take dry turns faster then my best friends 97 Legacy GT Wagon on coils, but it also has a massive amount of under steer. My Moms m3 handles sooo much better so its somewhere between the two.

As far as the lime green wheels, I bought the wheels from a junkyard for 100bucks, spent 5bucks on spay paint and had at it, I don't care it takes a couple minutes to change the color. I have a pretty sick set of wheels for it in the summer time.

I hope all this makes sense because I'm still a little bit hungover.
