i don't think they will fit (but i could be wrong).

i have a 91 legacy ss and 92 compressors doesn't fit. ended up just getting a new unit from subaru dealer. it came with all the lines. pretty expensive though...came out to $500 or so.

Chances are probably not.

There are two different types, calsonic & zexel. So they'd need to be the same type. If they are....there's a decent chance you could use the one off the 93.

I think in 94 was the year they went to r134a....however, saying that, you could probably change over the lines and use the compressor from the 93 in your 91, if the compressor doesn't fit with the 91 lines.

yeah they switched sometime in 94 I believe. My 93 has the R12 system and the 94 has the wonderful, absolutely ice cold R134a.

Not sure if they fudged sometime between model years though, like some other car manufacturers did around that time.

both of the units are calsonic - i gather that so long as they are the same make they *should mach up -

same ! Amazing the 94 held the refrigerant with r134. The 93 wagon with r12 started leaking like 3-4 years ago.

Be forwarned, not all Calsonics are the same. There does appear to be a difference between 91' and 92' Calsonics. 92' and 93' seem to be the same though.

The unit that Chochocho has is a quality unit though and I can recommend him to do business with. [/shameless plug]

If the units are the same brand they have a better chance of fitting. Next you just need to make sure the hose fittings align with the compressor. Beyond that....any differences should not matter.

Ok - the JF 93LS has a calsonic labled 2L with a one prong plug
-
the JF 91SS has a calsonic labeled OG with a three prong plug and its a slighty heavier unit than the 93
-
i ll i did is switch the plug from the 2L onto the OG and everything else is the same fit between these two legos
now i m simply finding a belt to match -
