well last night i spent about three hours over the Scotty's Cocktail Mix and after going back and forth thru thru websites decided that was infact not goood to use. maybe we should just put dont use this over the thread cause my intential plan was to use the Cocktail but after further research i went with Valvoline 75W80.

Man i didnt know that tranny fluid smelled so bad it was horrible. there was a lot of shaving on the drain plug so i cleaned that and cleaned around the hole so i should be good. i think this car has the original tranny as well as engine. never been rebuilt or replaced. i am in the process of asking the previous owner about this so i will let yall know. the car has 242XXX miles and i have put 30XXX miles on it with no problem. I live in georgia and have been to Indiana, Panama City, College in Young Harris which is about a 90 mile drive from my house as well as to work which is a 25 mile commute every day one way.

How long is this tranny good for you think? i thought i drove it hard but maybe i dont drive it that hard.

The tranny works till it breaks down probably with a lot of noise and loss of gears. Some turbo's need a new tranny after 150K, a trailer tower Outback in Sweden has 400k with the original tranny.

You also can't judge a tranny condition by the oil you drain.
And the shavings are normal unless it's not a handfull!

Tranny and power steering fluids do smell nasty when u are used to motor oil.
