hey guys, unfortunately my 92 5mt ss got sandwiched the other day, got rear ended and slammed into the back of a truck... im almost positive it will be totaled (its not really THAT bad), but you know how expensive body work is. Im looking to find another SS, and either keep mine for parts, or buy it back/sell it to a friend of mine. Anyways im ONCE AGAIN on the lookout for an SS in the PNW area, if you guys see anything, let me know. More mods the better :D.has to be 5speed, preferred 92-94, gonna have anywhere from 3k-5k to spend on it so let me know whats out there. (I look on here and craigslist literally everyday)
thanks guys

WOW, that bites. If you need a hand on parting it out, just ask.

Any pics of the carnage?

Looking at the pictures, this is what I recommend:
Buy back the car from insurance.
Get another fender, light and hood from Spauldings.
Change to AWIC so you do not have to worry about the lack of a hood scoop.
( I can help you with the AWIC parts)
Get another rear bumper from Spauldings.

Drive car.

Thank you. These cars aren't common, last thing we need is another parted or scrapped.

well, as well as those body parts, it shoved the abs unit back a little bit and that got pushed into the intake and shoved that back a little bit too. I would like to buy one with a tdo4/tmic already on it. not quite sure if the engine was harmed during the wreck (i didnt drive it home)

I would not worry about the intake that much. Probably more of a problem with the ABS if it is leaking fluid, but that too can be fixed. I removed my intake and am running a K&N filter,so even if your intake is broken, it can be replaced.

I would open the hood and see if anything was pushed into the engine. By your pics, I would actually guess not, as most of the damage was on the pass side, and it did not look that bad.

damage is alot worse than i thought... the radiator was shoved back into one of the pulleys, the fender support is totally messed up... dented the gas tank pretty damn well, as well as bending/cracking one of the back supports by the gas tank... i can email you more pics if you want.. whats ur email?

Matthew, I have been PM'ing with dScooby about importing my sister's car from Canada into the US and he has been very helpful.

Her 1993 SS Winestone mica 4EAT is a Canadian model with the manual seatbelts, was originally a Vancouver car for some 11 years and since she has owned it she has had it rust-checked regularly so the car is in very good condition. It only has 105,000 kilometers (about 65,000 miles on the car and engine) and is in Manitoba.

Importing the car into the US is relatively uncomplicated and I have the NHTSA and EPA forms figured out and a letter of compliance from SOA so it is good to go.

Please PM me if you are interested. DScooby if you know anyone else that is interested in a very low mileage SS please let me know.

I am still waiting on the insurance to settle the claim, and once that is done I am looking at a diffferent SS in olympia, but if that doesnt work out i will most likely purchase yours, any idea on price?

Matt, given that the car has never been wrecked, is in very good condition, only has 65,000 miles on it and has just had the 60 K inspection I think that a price in the $4 - 5K range is not unreasonable.

I haven't seen another SS recently with such low mileage, most of the ones that I have seen for sale have 150,000+ miles or more.
