Must be the ole' turbo bearing flange clearance issue. We could've warned you about that. What did it come from and what do you want to get for it?

Easy guys. If it is the legendary T4 turbo motor, it won't fit in our cars, either.

JesusPeople, QUIT BEING ASSHOLES!!!
It's pretty clear to me this guy bought the engine for his USDM WRX, and it's correct that it won't work in that car. The cam gears and trigger points are wrong and there's no way to make it run. You can't cross generations like that. He came here to try and sell it to the people that would want it. I applaud him for seeking out our community and trying to place the engine with someone who would appreciate what it is and put it in a Legacy.
So if you aren't actually interested in buying this engine FUCK OFF and leave the guy alone. I am sick and tired of you cocksuckers being dicks to new people just because they don't know what they are talking about. You weren't all born masters of Subaru knowledge and neither was this guy. Give it a rest you arrogant bastards.

i am sorry we can't part it out we have 02 wrx and it is a wagon and my fam car and the motor went and paid for this motor to find out this will not work in the car. nothing lines up and we call ECS and bring the motor to them and they tell me that the motor will not fit in the car they can make it fit but will not pass for a state sticker so we can do that i asked them what was the motor and tell me it is 90 JDM RS RA motor and i go on line and find you guys and i am thinking well may be some one here may need it so i put it up with what i was told . so i am sorry if i wrong but what i do know is i have no car and i have a fam that need to get to work ever day and two kids in school and spots and we need the wrx up and working so if you know any one that wants to buy the motor please let me know

Matt, or anyone,
Do you know if this will hook directly into a '98 Legacy GT, I believe I'm still phase 1. I want to retain all my factory wiring and sensors with very few exceptions, any idea?

By using your intake manifold harness you can make this plug into your car. You may need to unwrap it a bit and lengthen a few wires, like the IAC, to make the connectors reach. You will also need to do something about the ignition, and use your original coil by ziptying it to the manifold on this engine.
The real problem is that you will have no control of the turbo and because of the change in discplacement your fueling will be off. It will run and drive but you'll need some sort of EM to make it run right.

I've got an EMU, the original engine is already turbo'd. I just want to scrap my current motor for something stronger.
