I'm pretty sure any 90-94 tranny will work but you may wind up with a different gear ratio and have to change the rear end as well. I know I hit up the junkyard and walked out with a 94 tranny with 140K miles and put it in my 90 wagon and had to go back for the rear end when I realized it was different. After that it's worked flawlessly ever since!
I'm thinking you could probably use newer trannys too but I'm not sure which years.

This should be in the DRIVETRAIN category for info or Parts Shed for 'want to buy' requests.
Check the TCU (tranny codes) by doing
THIS.
A Search would tell Your '93 has a 3.90 diff ratio, as do '92-94 NA and Turbo 4EATs. Make sure the TC and flexplate match the tranny.
You could also use a '90-91 but need the rear diff (4.11) too.
Good luck.

Changed out transmission with used transmission for the same tranny TZ102ZA2AA MH old one reverse quit working so replaced Put in used tranny changed the tranny filter added new tranny fluid backed it out of the shop took it for a drive everything seemed to work fine next day drove it to work and the car stalled out and car wouldn't start so got a jump start the car started fine and now the check engine light is on and the car won't move in any gear It's an 1993 legacy automatic tranny Is there fuse or something I'am not checking that is not working I check the tranny fluid seem to be full I added 8 Qts to it when I installed the used tranny

That was the longest run on sentence I've ever read. Paragraphs make things easier to read. Or even punctionation lol.
