Forester Take-Offs, what is needed to make them work?

I was looking to get a little bit of a lift out of the Legy, and thought the Forester struts might fit the bill. From what I have been reading, it looks like the fronts will swap right in, and the rears may need a different top-hat? Or will they swap right in as well?
Anyone happen to know the spring rates of the Forester springs?
How much of a lift will I be looking at with the Forester Take-Offs?

Been there, read that. It does not tell me what top hats to use, how much of a lift, or springs rates.

What year forester and your car is a 92...?
I believe you'll sit higher and maybe a little stiffer.
and really if you find some struts fully assembled with tops all you will need is your rear stock top mounts.
you'll probably not have to slot the struts, but you may need some proper sized washers for the rear tops.

Car is a 91. I was looking at some 04 Forester struts/springs the other day. They are now sold since I didn't pull the trigger due to lack of information about them fitting. I am worried about the car being to high with them honestly. I do have my WRX wagon springs that I could put on them instead of the Forester springs....

if thats your case i would look for some 02-03 wrx struts and throw in the 04 sti springs, drop you about 1/2" front and quarter back with a nice firm ride

...The whole point is to LIFT the car, not drop it. I just dont want a HUGE lift. Only a inch or so lift over stock.

Only you know what's too much/not enough lift.

thanks for that. it has been a long time since i have been over to the old USMB. used to be THE place for subarus. now it appears to be THE place for lifted subarus and kick ass old school subaru fun.
because of this thread i am buying a set of forester struts/springs/top mounts for my 95 legacy wagon to do a little bit of a lift.
best part is that my wife thinks it looks pretty cool. mainly because she is having some back problems and is excited to get the car a bit higher off the ground.
should yeild about a 2 inch lift. eventually i want to stick some Geolandar AT-S on there and give the car a couple more inches of height.

I don't know what is the max size, but my 205-70R-15 rub @ full lock and there's not much room between the front of the back tires and fender wells.....USMB should have the max size that'll fit.
Td
P.s. I'm putting a set of stock Fozzy FXT's on this weekend.

We went with a set of WRX sedan struts and my left over WRX Wagon springs. These with my 205-55-16 rally tires has us sitting at a good 11" of ground clearance at the rocker panels!

cool.
would love to see some pics when you are done.
right now it has 195/65/15s on it. they are Nokian WRs so they wont look too tiny on there. but there is going to be a pretty good sized gap. hopefully it wont look too silly. if it does i will just put the stockers back on.
