My 93 NA Leggy runs a bit hot after driving for a while. If I turn the heat on full blast, the needle moves back to the middle. But summer is coming and driving with the heat on will not be fun... how do I fix this?

165,000mi... not sure when the last time the radiator was replaced. I'll check the coolant level today, though I am pretty sure it was filled just 3mo ago.

Plenty enough time for a leak to develop. But yea, when you turn the heat on. Is it the defroster? The radiator fan might have gone out, or relay died and the other fan kicks on if you turn the defroster on for the A/C.

Yeah, its when I turn on the defroster. I checked the coolant and it was VERY low to my surprise, since it was supposedly filled just 3mo ago... Anyways, its full now, so I'll see if the problem continues.

mine had a leak and over time would drain out mainly during driving because of the pressure they are under. bought a new one and problem solved
