I've got a '93 ss and a '94 TW, both with AT. My '93 has the manual override button but my '94 doesn't. Do the '94's NOT come with that manual override button?
I found that out recently when my battery in the '94 died and I had to move the car. I figured, "No problem, I'll just depress the button to get the tranny out of Park." To my surprise, there was no button to depress.

So all you guys with automatic trans on a '94 ss or TW, do you have a manual override button at the front base of the shifter console?

My 94 turbo (auto) does not have this.

96 models don't have it either, to do a manual override you have to take the shifter cover off and stick a screw driver in there..
Below is the page from the manual that explains how:

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I appreciate it! And amdrunner, thanks for going through the effort of posting those fsm pics/info!
So, it seems that the '93 was the last year with that manual override button. Now I'll have to figure out if I can install one of those buttons on my '94 since the hole for the button is already there but it's just covered up by a piece of rubber.

I have a 94 and it gives me a little trouble every now ant then. There is a phylips head screw in the way of the trigger for some reason so I have pulled the screw out and keep a trusty screwdriver in the armrest. Just pop the cover off and jam a screwdriver in the hole to depress the lever and its good.

Thanks for that tip, Mike! I'll have to remove that screw.
Then, a future mini project is to find a button out of a '93 Legacy and install it.
Oh, btw, I'm sending you a PM.
