First Auto-X weekend, 56kb = no

Well last weekend I had a chance to really try out my new badass tranny, adjustable rear sway, and endlinks. All I have to say - I LOVE my car. It feels so incredibly balanced now. The endlinks and the stiffer rear sway (I'm still running stock front) really keeps the car neutral but with ability to kick out the rear with some power. This was also the first time I really started pushing my upgraded brakes - a huge thanks to Phil for getting the 316mm rears in production. I love the balance of the WRX fronts with these.

And then of course my new driveline - OMG, it's awesome! The VSLD in the rear make a big difference but the LSD up front makes an even bigger difference powering out of the corners. I got a little sideways, i.e. waaay, on the last slamon of my last run and managed to pull it back out - clean. I contribute a lot of this to having power/grip at all four corners. The tranny shifts like a dream and I could go on and on about how cool it is. The car just responds so incredibly well now and I don't regret a penny I spent on the tranny or the helical front LSD - it really has made a difference. Coming out of corners and power sliding a little is so easy to control the yaw of the car and she grabs back smoothly and just keeps powering forward.

Matt, I can't thank your team enough and an official review is/will still get posted across the Subaru boards. People need to know about your quality team.

So, for the pictures - keep in mind I'm running 245lb springs and 700 TW tires (80k mi. all-seasons). That said, I was consistantly beating the real Rousch Mustang both days by around .2 - .4 sec raw time along with a few other nice slightly modded fast factory cars - a lot of which I contribute to the new balance of the suspension and the awesomness of true AWD.

Enjoy -

Again, a BIG thanks to the BBS for helping me out this winter in getting my 5mt swapped. The car finally feels like it was meant to be.

Sweet!

What swaybar are you running in the rear now?

Thanks.

My rear sway is Whiteline's BSR19XZ, I believe it's equivalent to 19mm-22mm (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I have it set to full soft, I tried a step harder when I installed it and upon trying a hard 180 across a median (no traffic) I quickly ended up looking back at the median requiring some quick countersteering. If/when I upgrade the front bar though I'll have some additional flexibility at the rear. It is noticably stiffer than the stock bar though, even at full soft.

Not sure what bothers me more, me looking like Mr. Green or the fact that you referred to my immaculately sculpted beard as "face fuzz" :).

So what is your drivetrain setup? What front LSD? What rear?

My drivetrain consists of (Matt correct me if I'm wrong) -

New 1-2 STi mainshaft
New 3-4 Sti mainshaft
upgrade to new triple cone synchro design
New Modena helical front LSD
- All nested into a 02' WRX tranny
Stock WRX rear VSLD

ACT Streetlight flywheel
Excedy WRX clutch - stock
Grp N motor mounts, including pitchstop
Grp N tranny mount

This is a HUGE upgrade over my old 4eat on old motor/tranny mounts.

I think just about anything is an upgrade over a stock 4eat

Good pics, and glad to hear you're happy with your car. I know how satisfying of a feeling that can be. What class are you running under?

Thanks for the compliments Nate. Right now I am running in Street Modified. The RCA kit is what does it to me. However, I run in the local Street Tire class, TW 140+, but with an SM PAX.
