Thanks alot guys, I really appreciate it! The major key to my success on the project was having the edges of the scoop sit on top of the hood, instead of having it layed into the hood. I have photos of the process and I'm thinking of making a quick write-up when I get a chance.

Please do a write up or at least post all the pictures you have of it. I got halfway through my hood scoop, same scoop, same idea. While cutting the hood I accidently let the smoke out of my poor dremel and it was done for immediately. Then I got a cutting wheel for my compressor and that same week I found out the compressor was recalled because of danger of ruptering so they came and got it and gave my parents $100 and now I don't have a compressor so the project is on hold.
One thing I noticed though was I'm pretty sure those bolts aren't long enough to go all the way through the hood like yours seems to. Did you lengthen them? I'll have to take another look. I wonder if my placement of the scoop and how I cut the hole is different than yours because we have the same scoop.

The bolts and washers I used were 1/4 inch, not stock. I used an air powered drill and grinding wheel (dremel FTL). I made a template from cardboard and based everything around that. I'll try and a get write-up done by this weekend. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

So you actually replaced the bolts off the scoop? If I remember correctly I think those bolts had built in washers that held them in place. I'll have to look at it again.

great job on the scoop. Good thing you didnt do what the guy that owned my car before did, felt the need to bondo it into the hood and barely put anything but the bondo holding it in there, now it all cracked adn I may have to get a new hood to fix the hackery that he did.

Yes I did, they fit right in to all of them except the ones in the back. I just used a dremel make the slots alittle larger to fit the bolts.
