Clocking a TD05?

I've read on other forums that it's possible to clock the TD05 to the same position as our stock VF11s. Is this true? How does this affect the wastegate actuator?

How would one do that when the in/out are cast on the same piece?

I wish... haha.

I don't mind having a rotated inlet also, if that's what you're asking, BSOD. In fact, it'd help airflow only having to run a 45* elbow off of the inlet, right? I'm mainly worried about my intercooler piping with the outlet pointing where it's pointing currently. I'm not sure I can make anything work at this point.

I guess the question is if it's physically possible to clock the cold side back and still use the same wastegate actuator.

The link was mostly to show that Deadbolt cuts off the 90 degree inlet, reclocks the outlet, and then rewelds the inlet back on.

I'm sure that you can fabricate an adapter bracket for the wastegate actuator. I wonder if you can order just the modified actuator from Deadbolt?

I actually emailed Deadbolt about an actuator when I was still looking for a replacement... but didn't get any response. Perhaps it would have been better to call, but whatever. I found someone afterward on NASIOC who works for Blouch to sell me a new actuator for a pretty good deal.

Deadbolt is gone. The guy closed up shop.

It should not be too hard to do, but would be much eaiser to do on a straight inlet turbo with a clamped on 90* inlet.

If you need custom work done to a turbo, a rebuild, or rebuild parts check out Gpopshop!
They made my TD06-20g / TD05 hybird & clocked the outlet to mimic a WRX TD04.

I'm thinking about having a TD05-16G Compressor housing & wheel mated to a TD04 CHRA / clipped turbine wheel for 500+CFM with ultra fast spool....

That sucks!!! Guess I won't get lifetime rebuilds on my TD05...
