Well the Cam sensor fixed the cold hard start problem ... Thank you and now the next issue.

When we followed the clear the code procedure we are having anothor odd issue. The engine light flashes steady all the time. We have disconnected the battery over night and the engine light will still just flash steady probably about 1/2 sec intervals. Also we went through the clear the code process by connecting the green and the black connectors. THe engine light will then not flash, but when driving it over ten miles an hour for aways the engine light will again start to flash at a constant interval.

Then when we disconnected the plugs the engine light will continue to flash as well as the seatbelt light will flash, even when the belts are fastened.

What do you think?

Thanks

Steady consistent flashing indicates no codes are stored.

But they are always flashing. My son did try to read the codes, but there was nothing. Now the light is flashing and it will not stop.

Did you unplug the black and/or green connectors?

So both the green & black connectors are unplugged, and the CEL is blicking steadily with the engine running?

Does it drive badly or have any issues?

I'm kind of at a loss....

Yep both disconnected car runs great and the CEL is blinking rapidly. Also the seat belt light flashes as well.

Weird huh. WHen the connectors are connected and we start to drive it over 10 MPH the lights do not flash. THen they start to flash and do not stop. However car seems to be running fine

The light still flashes.

I tried to read the codes and all the CEL does is flash. ~1/2 sec on and 1/2 sec off. When I do the processes to clear codes they will stop. When the black connector is connected the buzzers work. When disconnected the buzzers seem not to work.

With the engine off ... connect both plugs green and black ... When you turn on the ignition the lights do not flash. THen you start to drive and the CEL will soon start to flash the all clear code 1/2 sec on 1/2 sec off. Then when you turn off the car and disconnected the black and green connector the cel will still flash when you turn the key an as well as when you are driving. 1/2 on and 1/2 off.

Does this help anyone to help me. When just the blac; cpnnector is connected the CEL flashes the same 1/2 sec on and 1/2 sec off.

Thanks for your patentiance with me

Hmmm.....That doesn't sound right. Where are you located?

You may want to see if someone local has a spare ECU you could borrow to see if it's possibly your ECU. Or you may be able to get an ECU from a junkyard inexpensively...

I am located in Vancouver WA. I might try the junkyard route. Although it does run great. Just that stupid light keeps flashing. I will also try the seatbelt dignostics that some one posted.

THanks
