My emergency brake light is stuck on. I was driving around one day it popped on, so I messed with the emergency brake and the light shut off. About 30 minutes later it popped back on and hasn't turned off since.

I'm assuming it's just a faulty switch, but I just want to make sure that it's not some sort of warning. I checked my brake fluid, just too make sure it wasn't a low fluid light or something.

If you were messing around with the parking brake and it went out most likely it is the issue, but in the brake fluid resovior was the float at the top? I had the same problem and I just pulled the float up and down a few times and it was fine.

Eric's got it. It's happened to me, too. Top off the fluid, even if it's above the LOW line. Wiggle the float. See what happens...
