Will 90-91 FWD Rear Top hats fit a AWD Chassis

I have looked around and called subaru, the part number is different between the 1990-91 2wd and 4wd Rear strut top hats, but the rubber seat between the spring and top hat is the same.
Does anyone know if the three bolts on the top of the mount/top hat from a FWD fit an AWD car?
Or do I need AWD top hats for STI springs n struts?

Yes they will fit, as long as your only looking to put them on a 90-91 MY car.
I purchased sti rear mounts and installed them when my car was FWD. It's now AWD....same mounts & springs....just have different struts.

Does that mean that STI struts will fit a FWD if you use FWD strut tops?Would STi springs lower or lift the car?

No. AWD & FWD rear struts are different.....doesn't matter what subaru they are from.

hey legacy777 you have a legacy 92-94 sedan right
i am currently looking for changing my suspension
when you say top mount sti, what year your talking about
did you buy rear and front top mount sti?
do you have the # for those spring as well?
which strut should i go impreza or legacy strut? in kyb

The rear AWD strut bodies are shorter in length since the mounting point on the hub is shifted backwards and up from the mounting point on the rear FWD hubs.

No, I have 1990 sedan.
The mounts in the picture are for the 1990-1991 MY's with the tapered rear springs.
