I'm interested to see how that car will look when it's lowered on rims. Probably pretty cool. I like those older jettas that they always slam. I'm not a fan of big wheels, I like slammed cars on small wheels.

Nah, go TDI. 50MPG w/ the top down.

Looks like it's in good shape. I (well, we ;-) ) had a nice white '88 couple of years ago. They respond nicely to front chassis braces; get the top strut & the bottom control arm tie-brace, stops most of the cowl shake.

Just don't put stupid wheels that are too wide for your tires on the car, which make your handling worse. Please.

"Les, you know how you said when you got your driver's license, you wanted a BMW? Well, here it is, take good care of it."

"Thanks, dad, I appreciate it, but I don't need a BMW—I've got a Mercedes!"

gotta love HBO in the 80's. They played the same movies straight for a month at a time so I've seen this one, can't buy me love, the extra anchovie one and a bunch more way too many times lol.

I have no clue what this has to do with this thread however lol

Yeah, but are either of you cool enough to own that movie on DVD?

Haim took off driving a Cabrio at the end of the movie.
