I have a 1st gen Legacy, I swapped out my Auto 2.2 when the transfer case broke with the entire EJ20R drivetrain and recently the engine took a dump so I am planning on dropping the old 2.2 in and mating it to the 5 speed. I am assuming I need to swap the AT Ecu with a MT Ecu as I still have the entire wiring harness.

If I am wrong in my assumption or someone more knowledgeable can assist in pointing me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.


I am also looking for a lock set for a 1st gen legacy, ignition/doors/trunk I could careless about the glove box.

I have an MT ecu from a 90 legacy 2.2... and 99% of the harnesses (I wrecked the car and the light harness in the front and a few small things got ripped out like the rear speakers, even has abs module and original ecu... let me know if any of this (or all of it) will work for you. Im ready to ship it quick just to get it out of my parts room...

also have all locks if you want those too...

You don't need to change ECUs...there is just a transmission reference wire that needs to be clipped
