I tried searching, but I didnt really find anything. I want to remove the door chime, because it is very annoying but I would still like my roof light to light up when the door is open. What does the door chime thing look like where is it at?I tried looking under the dash but I wasnt able to pinpoint its location. Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the Key warning chime???? It look like it's in the Combination meter like Lego said but it runs through the Automatic seat belt control unit. Try unplugging the big plug on the control unit and see if that stops the dinger. If so, the books shows it is terminal 4 on that plug that powers the dinger. If you need the schematic I can always post a pic if you can't find one.

you can just unplug the switch at the key cylinder. Its a black 2 pos plug if i'm not mistaken. Its located along the rest of the wires coming off of the key switch right where your right knee would bee when you take the dash panel off. It will be very thin wires like 22 awg ish.

In the trunk on the left hand side "driver side". It should be near the power antenna. Has two plugs in it.

Why on earth would you unplug the whole control unit when you can do what I said in one post above this one?

I will try the ignition switch first then check out the computer if it doesnt take care of the chime..

I hated that noise too. I took my gauge cluster out and found out where that noise was coming from. Then I filled the little hole with liquid nails thinking it would kill the noise. It didn't. Made it not so loud but still quite audible. I just left it alone after that though.

I'm not guessing here folks. I unplug the stupid thing when I'm working on the car and need the key on and the door open.

Mike - I do the same thing, but if I forget to reconnect it the seatbelt control unit gets mad. I don't know if it's a long-term solution.
