is there any interest in getting door panels recovered?

there's a vendor on another website that is providing kits for door panels recovering. he's looking for a committment from at least two other folks here so that he can get a door panel.
i have a 91 ss so i am in for a set of there are others that are intereted.

Yeah, that's pretty neat! It'd be kind of cool to use one of their kits and then also get more of the same fabric to use as a shift boot and parking brake boot... And maybe wrap the sunvisors too.
Anybody know how many different panel geometries there are for first-gen Legacies? Would one kit work for all of us?

Vikash, to my knowledge, the '90-'94 sedans should have the very same door cards & the '90-'94 wagons should be the same as well. Obviously the wagon shares the sedan front doors, but I believe the rear wagon door cards may differ from the sedans. I could be wrong about that much. Model designation should not matter though (Ex: SS vs. L or LS).

1993 turbo sedan I have in the garage look the same as 1990 N/A wagon. I'm thinking of the perforated leather and would really like a parking brake boot, maybe a shift boot if it comes in dark blue.

I'm not raining on anyone's parade here but a word of caution. The center sections on door panels are usually plastic welded to the door panel and you have to pretty much destroy the mounting tabs to get it apart so after you cover the panel with the new fabric it becomes very difficult to stick it back in the door panel. If the center section is set in place with screws you should be all set, I'd have to check ours out to know for sure.

This guy was talking about either gluing on top of the fabric or removing the fabric and gluing in its place. I'd rather be able to tuck it underneath the panel myself, but I don't think the panel is actually removable. I'll have to take a better look. I have a plastic welder, so I'm not concerned with plastic, but much of the panel isn't plastic—it's a fiberboard thing. Fiberglass can repair the fiberboard stuff, as I used to rebuild the armrest crushed ages ago by the PO (which is part of the panel in question, which is why I think it's not removable.
