Suspension confusion!!!! HELP

So I think I must have gotten really confused on the suspension sticky?
On my 91 SS I tryed to use 06 wrx springs (whole set) but the front
springs on the wrx have an 6inch od at the top, as to my stock springs are a 7inch od. so what top hats or perches to I have to use to use the wrx springs? GC/GDA?
While I'm at it what would these springs do besides having a higher spring rate. raise/lower?
I purchased a set of gabriel struts, and I've been told that the struts for a 94 SS will work?(agx)different front strut lengths? Thanks

aside from that, according to the sticky those springs are only gonna net you 30# over the stock springs. 130# vs 160#. Thats about mmmm.... 20% stiffer. FYI

FWIW, I think the spring ID is the important bit. Still haven't swapped springs on mine so wathing for good info!
