from what i gather the 4.11 NA cable trans is decently strong, yet very cheap and easy to find unlike a turbo trans. how about a 3.9 cable trans? are those things as good as a 4.11 with more stress on the gears from having a taller diff ratio? would one of these 3.9's last in a TW with the basic exhaust/tmic/fcd with occaisional wot pulls and hard shifts but not banging gears or launching it or any of that stuff?
anyone who is running or has ran a cable 3.9 trans in a turbo car, I'd love to hear from you. also what power levels you were at, any breakage, driving habits, and what clutch you were running.
about ratios: I thought my 4.11 5mt on 205/55/16's could have been a bit better with a taller 1st. anyone know the 3.9 ratios as opposed to the 4.11?

I don't think you'll find a 3.9 cable operated trans....at least in the legacy line.

well, a guy i know has one and it is in a 93 legacy wagon that he is going to sell me. the car was obviously swapped to 3.9. I'm not opposed to using 4.11 trans its just that i'd rather not have to regear my vlsd.
