injectors: ohm reading related to fuel flow?

Would the ohm readings of a set of injectors give indication which injector flows more or less fuel?

For example, if one injector read 11.8 ohms and another had a reading of 11.5 ohms, would one injector flow more fuel than the other?

I wanted to know because if the ohm reading is an indicator of fuel flow, the highest flowing injector could be installed in cylinder 4, which runs hotter than the others.

I realize that fuel-flow testing is the best way of knowing exactly what each of the injectors flow but I thought this might be a "poor man's" way of getting the engine a bit more balanced.

in short, no. just differences in the coil impedance. injectors are on/ off, flow is determined by the internal port sizes.

Injectors are just like a relay. the coil side is just activating a valve that is on the fuel side. Pretty basic and not related.

I agree, there's only one useful flow characteristic you can measure like that. If an injector reads way over 12 ohms, it will not flow at all because the coil is bad. :P

I thought I had posted a "thank you" for helping me out but I guess I didn't. So, here's a belated THANK YOU! for the posts, guys! I appreciate your help!

So, if injector A reads 11.9 ohms and injector B reads 11.6 ohms, is injector B technically a "better" injector or perhaps one that will have the coil last longer?

The FSM lists the specified resistance is 11-12 ohms, so they're both within specifications.
