Anybody live up by Kenmore, WA? My girlfriend is going to school up there next year and I will most likely be going with her.

What would be the best place to live within say 25 mins from Kenmore? We glanced at some housing in that area and it seems pretty expensive like $850-$1,200+/month for a 1-2 bedroom place. I'd like to have a garage to work on my vehicles.

I live somewhat close to Kenmore, although live in a house. My bro use to live in NorthPointe apartments http://northpointehighlands.com which seemed alright. Yes, everything in the area is the suburbs and thus somewhat expensive.

Yeah, she doesn't want to live in an apartment. Either do I really. I need a garage. I have tools and 2 cars and she's got a car and I don't want to be working on them in the rain and we all know it rains a hell of a lot here.

I don't even know what I'm going to do for work up there. Only thing I can think of is to get another job at a casino dealing cards like I've been doing for 3 years now. Problem is, I hate it. I hate it A LOT.

well if you hate it do something different. no point in beating your head against the wall. since you deal cards you obviously have some customer service and people skills. and good attention to detail to watch for cheaters and stuff right? so use that stuff to your advantage and branch out to something else. i dont think there is really any card dealer jobs near kenmore anyhow.

Closest casinos around I know of are Tulalip resort or Snoqualmie.

Looks like tulalip is about 30 min drive from kenmore. That's not too bad. About 5 mins further drive than I have now. Probably depends on traffic though, I see the commute is on I5.

I currently have no traffic as my commute is mostly backroads. Going 55-60mph.

There is about 7 casino's along Aurora in N. Seattle/Shoreline area, not as big as Tulalip, but they're much closer to you. Club Hollywood Casino, Goldies Casino, the Golden Nugget, Red Dragon, etc.

Also I think Shoreline is quite a bit cheaper than Kenmore. I commute from Shoreline to Bothell (further than Kenmore) daily for school and it's not bad most of the time (taking Lake City Way)
