That hood on the home page wagon looks like Dave's fiberglass one. Even has hood pins.

I want those fog lights! Or driving lights or whatever they are. The round ones and the middle ones(on the first car posted)
Also look on the links page, a bunch of cool stuff in there
What wheels are those? They're the same ones that are on the Rothman's car

Those lights look like Hella 500s or something close.

I don't really like it. I think those lip kits make it look tacky, cheap and ricey. I think those hoods are ugly with the vents. Hood pins are ugly too but I guess those aren't for looks.
I like that blue car though. That's nice and subtle. Simple.

The blue one is similar to Duchess. I prefer no hood scoop, but I think the old-style Impreza turbo vents like the Legacy WRC cars look good. I also don't like the lips and skirts much as I prefer the ground clearance, that's why I gave Duchess retractable parts in my book.

yea, that red car is definately badass, but the main reason I have a SS is for the sleeper-ness and the solid motor to back it up
The blue one is pretty sweet looks like rally machine

i would roll w/ the red one daily.
im going to make my TW look similar

Don't get me wrong, that thing is BAD-A by all means, but I prefer a sleeper for my taste

haha true but the sleeper conundrum only lasts until people find out what you REALLY are rollin' w/
then what?
i make it look like i want it and make it drive like i want it to.
thats the only way

Personally, I am getting rid of my factory ss hood scoop and going scoopless.

The thing about these cars is, if you don't know about it, it doesn't matter WHAT has been done to it, it will still be a sleeper. I think a FMIC is the only thing that can really ruin it for you.

Babelfish makes this page even better:
"As for the car 'Fun To Drive' is important.
It runs everything gently from the rectilinear school gang leader to the magic teacher of the pass, such an efficiency is sought from the love car."
I've never seen so many aftermarket parts on a BF. I like the part about him getting PTSD because the new engine cost as much as the value of the car. Or whatever he meant.
Lots of cool old Japanese car pictures and Subaru stuff on there.

yea true.... I know FMIC kinda ruins it, when I had Kelly's old car I had so many Honda's and whatnot like WTF?? Got alot of thumbs ups from Stis and stuff though but like I said I dont want people to know what it has... well it doesnt have anything right now but in the future

I'd have a FMIC if I could afford to do it right, but alas...I like subtle, but I also like subtle tips that it isn't normal. Things that if you weren't paying attention or didn't know cars you wouldn't notice, but if you look closely you'll know there's something to it. I have the suspension I want(STi) and the mudflaps I want, now I just need rally lights and wheels and my exterior will be complete, unless I feel like going a little overboard when I get out of school, which I might, with full on Rothman's livery.
I can appreciate all looks though as long as it's well done.

Paint FMIC black. Now not easily noticeable.

yeah AWD_addict,
i have been browsing through other Japanese car blogs like this just to look at the glory that we don't ever receive here in the united states.
I have babelfish for my FF also, and ha ha its almost not worth using sometimes because the context is still so tough to interpret.

Well if you see something you like, make it happen! That's one thing I noticed moving over here from an e30 forum, you guys have no drive, over there if someone wanted something they'd make it, or they'd find someone else to make it, granted it was a much bigger forum, but that doesn't mean you can't do it here, get creative. Seems like if someone doesn't make it already, no one even thinks twice about it for these cars.
To be totally honest though, I've been trying to think of something cool and unique but I'm drawing blanks

oh well, it's hard when you're broke anyway.

I think a big part of it is the money. I wanted better lights, I modified the headlight buckets, even replacing the fluted lenses, and installed Hella 90mm projectors. Some people also lack the creativity or the skills and experience to pursue in lieu of the money to contract the work out. The old crew was much more hands-on, but was also an older demographic. At this point, I just want the damn thing running and out of my garage so I can build a "car" from scratch (more or less—I need to contract the chassis fabrication out).

Haha that's true, that's me right now. But there's just a lot of cool things you can do if you get a little creative for pretty cheap, unfortunately like I said I can't think of much, probably partially because I don't have any examples to steal ideas off of or modify ideas. All I have is blacked out chrome and blacked out tails in certain spots that don't work, and a repair on an STi wheel that has a blown airbag, but that wouldn't be cheap for someone who doesn't have a best friend that wrecked his STi.
I'm still trying to find a way to mount aircraft landing lights and keep the wiring out of the wet...
