South King county service recommendations?

I see there are a few people here in the King county area. Preferably in the south end, or maybe even north Pierce county

I'm wondering if there are any recommendations for places to go, or to avoid like the plague for service?

Thanks!

I believe that they're open from like 8 to 4 on Saturdays, might want to call just to make sure.

Thanks! Sometimes working evenings it easier to see if any one knows, rather than trying to find out before I have to run out the door.

Thanks!

I think I'll have to see about getting tires in the morning and a timing belt there after on Saturday.

Expensive weekend!

PS, I just had my clutch and flywheel done at PIA yesterday. I was told that I would have it back by 1PM today, but I actually got the call saying it was done at 3PM yesterday!

+1 (again) for PIA.

PIA is awesome! :smt023

The Parkland Library is not! No heat! Or at least they didn't wanna turn it up past 60...

I ended up trying to get out of the house early but I had a bit of a psychobilly freak out looking for some stuff. They had it done in about three hours, which was much better than the five hours they were estimating.

Also, for first timers/first time cars, they give the car the once over twice as a courtesy, which is awesome.

The people were mostly friendly, and very helpful.

I think I'll be heading down there more often than not.

Any other recommendations for shops more north of Seattle? PIA is a good 60+ mi away from me...

I did read a negative comment here about Smart Service, and then there is All Wheel Drive Auto in Kirkland.

Can't say I've had any problems with Smart-Service in the past.

Sure, I can google for Subaru shops in the Seattle area too. More interested in places people have had experience with. Contemplating taking it to a shop/tuner to see if they can figure out why the hell the car sees too much knock for no apparent reason a lot of the time.

Definitely worth going to PIA for that.

I'll just say that PIA is great! I went down there expecting to walk out $900 lighter at the end of the day, but after fifteen minutes they gave me my key back, and I didn't even know they had adjusted the freeplay in the clutch! Even better was the price of the service!

So, years later, it's getting hard to get in at PIA. If they can even answer the phone, it's a month or two to get an appointment.

Are there any new places to recommend?

Roopair?

Infront (formerly Outback)?

Mark the Guru?

If you're just needing regular service I would definitely recommend Roopair Specialties. Great guys and great environment.
