Why did you get a EBCS? Why not just use MBC?

It cycles a hell of a lot quicker than a manual and it's controllable by the ECU. The tune he gets on that OBD2 ECU should be able to set the boost at whatever he wants and it should be a lot more accurate.

An EBCS gives you programmable control over boost level. The WRX ECU has boost laid out in an RPM vs. Throttle Position table, so you can target different boost levels at different throttle positions and RPM.

With an MBC you just have a single setting for boost control and so you can have undesirable situations like part-throttle full boost and just overall harder to regulate boost pressure.

I also ordered this, over oem, because it's supposed to control boost better.

Unfortunately my oil feed is leaking so I don't have the ability to fully burp the cooling system.

Hoping to get down to Williams oil filter tomorrow to have a new line made. I'm gonna get new copper crushes and banjos too if they have them.

Got a new oil line made, put it on, and started it. No more leak!

I was even able to get my coolant system burped.

Tuner coming tomorrow to scale the injectors and to a base map for me. So stoked.

Didn't find a 1-1/16" non abs master cylinder, so I guess I'll stick with the 1" for now. Probable bleed all that this week.

Need to re-bleed my clutch, there's still some air in the lines.

I have a harbor freight pneumatic brake bleeder that I got for 30 bucks or so. I'm itching to try it. Read some good reviews.

With how all this is going, I think it's safe to say I can tab it on payday and take her for a spin.

I still have issues understanding the door schematics, I may have to ask for help on those.

Nice, good progress! If you have any specific questions on schematics post up here and I'll see what I can do to help.

I've been road tuning my car all week, I had to order a 3-port EBCS because my stock bleed type BCS can't bleed enough to make it over 14 psi tapering to 11 by redline. Still having tons of fun and pulling a pretty good amount of g/rev relative to boost pressure on my 8.9:1 2.2L engine. Way more torque and power than a stock EJ205.

I just bled my whole brake system in under an hour by myself with this bad boy.

Put tabs on it and took it for a test drive. It's got a base map on it right now while I work out the kinks and get the inside of the car all dialed in. I will post schematics of the doors later.

I have a slight dilemma with seat belts at the moment. Need some 2nd gen pieces that bolt to the seats.

On my test drive, I kinda got on it for a couple second in second gear.

This thing screams!

Drove her out to Tacoma to pick up a speed sensor. Stopped by Roopair and picked up a harness to make it work. Didn''t have a 100% plug and play harness but had a harness that I could use. Got home and wired it all up. No more check engine light and no more limp mode. WOOHOO!!!!!

Re-sealed my sunroof yesterday as well. Started working on my headliner too. Using some Vinyl & Fabric Black paint. Hope it turns out well.

Put more of my dash board together too. I now have a box to put my registration in!

Lots of interior bits went in over the weekend as well. mike-tracy gave me an RS drivers seat, win. Headliner is black now and in. It's almost complete part wise. Gonna drive her to work this week.

Well I've been toying around with this thing since it's been running. I bought a crap o2 sensor so it didn't last long. keep getting a heat circuit malfunction on bank 1.

Anyways, the car stumbles some when you're trying to get it to move and I don't know why. feathering the gas when in 1st and completely stopped at a light and trying to go is almost a necessity. It makes a pop sound threw the intake sometimes. That right there led me to believe I may need a fuel pump based off past experiences.

So I swapped the walbro out for the turbo legacy pump in the white 93. That was a no go. I starved that pump pretty fast I think. As soon as I would get into boost for a couple seconds, the whole car would choke. So I swapped the walbro back in. Now i can drive the car. But that stupid slight stumble...

When I tap the gas with my foot, I can hear the pumps whining die down a little. Now I'm thinking it might be a power issue. Maybe the car isn't grounded well. I did just paint the whole engine bay. So I un bolted some grounds, took my dremel to the metal and the connectors and put them back on. While I was at it I added a ground from the battery directly to the fuel pump ground. That seemed to help a little. I didn't here the pumps whining die down as much, unless this was just psychological...

I'm going to continue to chase down this problem. Maybe it's related to my o2 sensor.

Another thing I tried to work on by myself but didn't accomplish anything is the Purge Control System. I had the solenoid hooked up, but I didn't have the 3rd fuel line connected at the strut tower, well I did at one point but I removed it cuz the car stumbled right away and I started getting misfire codes.

I have a charcoal canister from a second gen legacy that I was trying to make work. Tried various ways, and no matter what I would still have a vacuum leak somewhere. So I reached out. Josh made me this!

I'm going to go out and try his design in a little bit.

Other than those 2 things and not having power locks, this thing is a blast to drive, Of course I be nice to it because it's not fully tuned yet, but a time or two here and there isn't going to hurt it.

Oh and the Sti reds and pink springs combo make this thing sit perfectly. It is a little bouncy (stiff bouncy) but it's tolerable. My son calls it the racecar. He loves riding in it.
