This is a wierd one.
Once in a while (every week) the car will make a buzz when trying to start the car. if i pull the key out, and then start it again, its fine.
it sounds like a joke hand buzzer things. after it starts up, its fine, like it never happened.
Any ideas?

thought #1: your car used to be owned by a clown??
Thought #2: Both of mine have a buzzer that goes off when the key is installed, there is a switch in the ignition switch that controls the buzzer, and it sounds like the switch is sticking... try spraying a LITTLE wd40 or lock lube in the key slot and let it work in...

Thats funny, my 92 does the EXACT same thing. I have no clue what causes it and it hasnt been enough of an issue for me to look into it. Maybe someone else has experienced this?

Going through this one on my 93 ss as we speak. I turn the key and it just buzzes under the steering wheel, almost sounds like some kind of short. then after a couple of tries if fires up. Sometimes it doesn't buzz at all and sometimes it takes 4 or 5 tries. Odd indeed.

I have a legacy (it's my parents 90 L AWD wagon 5MT now) that does this. Problem is, it does it until you start the car and it does it when you remove the key as well. And doesn't stop until you start it again. Which results in a dead battery. I need to figure it out so they can sell the car.
