Once again we will be doing the annual Xmas tree run. The past years have been a ball. Snowy roads, meet and greet, Fire, camp stove and water for coffee or hot chocolate. BYO food and beverages. Tree permits required to harvest a tree. $10.00 purchased from the DNR.

12-6-09
Meet at McDonalds in Enumclaw around 9AM
Leave @ 9:30am for Greenwater.
Get trees and hang out and leave at your leisure. I will be leaving by 3:00pm for home. I will have pop-ups and firewood.

Please bring your own chairs, food and beverages and be eager to have a fun day.

Great time to play in the snow, get a tree or just hang out with fellow Subiasts!

Sounds fun! Did you guys need winter tires in the years past or did all-seasons hold up fine?

Absolutely, snows required. That way there are no issues with road conditions. It has been known to freeze up when the sun goes over the hill.

I want to thank everyone who braved the windchill! Damn, it was cold. We had a good turn out despite the cold. We had snow all the way up from Greenwater.

The food idea seemed to be very welcomed. Maybe we'll keep doing it. The fire was the best place to be. Turbone and I brought up a couple of propane heaters that actually kept flaming out due to the wind.

Thanks to Jon from Delta for the hot apple cider and for putting on some pants! You were making everyone cold just looking at you. Thanks to Eriksport for the cobbler... it was great.

I also want to thank the group for keeping it safe on the way in and out. Other's were not so fortunate. Our group stopped to assist a few off road excursions by others. Two of them resulted in flops.

Very nice pics. Erik, can you send me a cd or a link to the hi-res... pleeeeeeeeease.

Thanks again everyone!

And, we outlasted the folks from the BBQ!! J/K Dave.

Also, thanks to Jake for letting my shake the rust off with his wagon. It was fun to get on the gravel again.

Using a flamethrower to start a fire was genius. My wife and I had fun and it was good meeting everyone. Thanks for organizing this, Qman.

LOL, yeah, the new in-laws don't mess around when starting a camp fire. Actually, just a roofing flamer but it worked all the same!

Thanks again for coming out. See ya next year. Maybe we'll have more snow and less cold!
