so I have the EJ22T stripped down to the block and will split it next weekend so it'll be ready to be bored out. Now i need to think about internals, specifically the pistons and rods. I want to run the wiseco EJ22T hybrid piston b/c i'm gonna be running the EJ25 DOHC heads, now i need to find some rods to go with the pistons, there are K1 h-beam rods for the EJ20/25 and i figured thats what i needed but i'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for any info on rod choices.

Logan.

Any rod designed for either the WRX EJ205/207 or the STI/LGT/FXT EJ257/255 will work.

The common low-buck upgrade is USDM STI EJ257 rods.

ok...how well would the STI rods hold up to 300-350ish hp?

Fine. RPM is what kills rods not HP.And not all upgrades are "upgrades".

what are the "hybrid pistons"?
and the rods? are they just a better rod or is there some kind of stroke difference involved?
