People worry about socialism, but I'm far more worried about the influence of private entities, like the Fed. In MA, we have compulsory overpriced health insurance. I opt out and pay a fine of $80/month because it's cheaper than the $350 it would cost me to have insurance. In one year of paying that I would have spent more than I have ever paid for medical care, two years if I count the one time I went to the hospital and was covered by insurance on a previous job. Awesome that my good health still has to pay for all the fat fucks, drunks, and drug addicts whose ridiculous self-inflicted medical costs raise the price for everyone and this is one of the more healthy states! I know, I know—what about the poor insurance companies and their need to generate massive profits in the face of this general population's lack of control? A good two-thirds of all commercials are for insurance companies—think of the overhead these poor guys have! And this is a new one to me—there are now companies selling insurance for when your other insurance LEGALLY decides not to provide the service you are being extorted to pay for! I just love that the government forces me to subsidize a PRIVATE enterprises of scumbags. They won't even let me donate the fine to charity instead. Socialism? Please.

If I ever lose it (which at this point is unlikely), the CEOs of big insurance and their families are on the list. Not that it's much worry since that list is so long I'd never have the time. Very discouraging. (Note for Feds: this is merely dark humor ranting meant to express dissatisfaction covered under the 1st Amendment and does not constitute a real threat to the true leadership of this nation).

Crystallizes the need to abolish the Fed.... Unfortunately, from an investment standpoint, me missed the mark on doing that by a few decades.

Still, makes me sympathize with e.g., Ron Paul's stance.

Ron Paul is the shit. He wasn't afraid to come out and state the real problems with this country.

This is by the film makers ZiesGiest. I think that's what they are called anyways. They have another cool one named Addendum. That one is really good too until the last 30 minutes or so, then, well, search it and you will see........

Their conclusion, although great in theory, doesn't seem to me like it would work the way they play it out......

I'm with you on that one. In my mind it makes no difference whether it's obamacare or insurance companies, it's all about the people who have money and power and their quest to retain it through whatever lie they can ram down our throats. If they make it mandatory, there'll be hell to pay, that's all I can say. There is no reason to make it mandatory. I guess it pays to be a dreg of society in this future world that's looking like it's from Ayn Rand's worst nightmares. The SICK part about it is that it's the same old, same old bs masked as collectivism but it's really just like a new suit on an old banker.

We overthrew the tyranny of inherited power and excessive class divide to get ... inherited power and excessive class divide. In this country, only the parasites thrive by either taking advantage of or sucking off of the middle class that does nearly all of the actual work. Oh, I know we don't all have MBAs from Harvard that allow us to become CEOs golfing while our company tanks due to poor leadership so we don't deserve the HUGE compensation and parachutes when we fail or follow common sense or popular fashion to success. As Vonnegut said, there are a lot of Harvard men in prison. However, I don't think there's nearly enough.

I'm glad I don't live in a war zone, but I've always felt I was supposed to. I think it's just much easier for me to get my head around. That or dodging bullets leaves you with less time to think about the shaft in your ass.
