Anything you do is going to require a reasonable amount of modification and cutting. There's really no way around it...

no 02or newer WRX kit will bolt up, I've bought 2 ebay generic pipe kits and a CXracing intercooler and still had to revise my setup 3 times and have 3 pipes welded for the set up i have now, and its still tight at the RH cyl. head.

the set up for the compressor outlet is a combination of high temp nylon fittings ment for marine aplication and flexible marine exhaust tubing. been using it for close to 10,000 miles of mostly freeway no problems but cheep, i should have known better than to use, tube connectors

I'm thinking of picking up one of the "JDM" fmic kits off from ebay. once I do so I'll post up how the fitment is.

i picked up a greddy kit from a forum member a year and a half ago and it fits ok... it's for a wrx and i also had to extend some piping by my driver's side head.

So is this a combination of a few kits plus custom work? Or is there a kit that is available that is close to this? I like the setup of the piping on this one.

That setup in the pic above seems more "reliable" to me, I had a theory (Not proven) that the less restrictions for air flow, the better.....

Here's mine before my TD04 Install, it flows towards the passanger side first... I am eventually going to fix it some how.

A few kits that looked like they had the bends I wanted not sure if they were subaru specific i just looked at the pics and found the bends that looked good. I also had some custom welding done up near the throttle body and the turbo to get the bends just right, I like straight running pipes, not akward looking connections and kinked hoses, but then I'm OCD so they tell me :-D

I've actually heard the ebay FMICs are pretty decent, it's just the fittings and junk that come with them that are crap.

My FMIC is at the bottom of this link with a slight description http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic. ... art=25

I would like shorter piping and a more direct route but this was a fairly easy install(if there is such a thing as a easy FMIC install). As far as lag goes, not really noticeable. My TD05 hits 0psi at about 2600 -2700rpm and 16psi at like 3300rpm with 2.5'' exhaust. With my 3'' cutout open, What lag? 0psi seems to be at like 2400-2500rpm and 16psi seems about 3100rpm, this is just me glancing back and forth between the gauges so I need to datalog this to be more accurate.
