the human body is an amazing thing. I cracked my hip and... as my Orthodontist likes to put it "dusted" my wrist in an industrial accident about 3 years ago. My hip is fine and my wrist is about 95%. Lost a touch of "range of motion" its a bit awkward from the scar material but it isnt enough to prevent me from holding a manual labor job.

Give it some time. go to all physical therapy sessions. do any excersizes they tell you to do and your recovery will remarkable!

Best of luck and heal well.

Get the pins out if you can. Not sure about ankles, but a friend of mine fell 20 feet onto his forearms, shattering his arms and wrists. The stainless rods they put it would kill in the cold as it transferred the temperature directly into the bone. I of course don't know what that feels like exactly, but I can imagine.

dang! nice metal.
I had to quit skating because of my ankles. sprained em each a few times and never let em heal quite right so they were always hurting.

At least your ankle's usually covered, too. Hope you get all the motion back.
