does anyone have pictures of what part of the WRX/STI mid-pipe, needs to be lenghtened to make the WRX/STI setup work. I know it needs like an extra 6in but i am not quite sure where that 6in needs to be. Thanks -Nick-

I had mine cut and welded about 6-12 inches to the back of the connection to the DP. I don't have any resonators, so that might be different trying to mod a stock unit.
The good way to do it is to get it up on the midpipe hanger and see where you need to adjust it from there.

i just got done installing a new to me for free apexi noir catback for my wagon. install was easy, added about 10" to the midpipe right at the donut flang and relocated all 4 hangers. ill take some pics next time i have it on the rack at work. a stock system should be just as simple, the only hard hanger is the back one on the axle back, i welded my old stock one to the one off the apexi to make it reach the stock location.

I just did WRX aftermarket exhaust. Helix DP and Perrin twin tip first gen muffler. I cut all the hangers off the exhaust, held the exhaust in the place i wanted it, cut and welded in a 3 inch or so ( I could measure if someone wants to know the exact length) extension piece, secured muffler with a friends help and then welded all the exhaust hangers back on in the locations I wanted. VERY pleased. Sounds REAL REAL mean. im gonna post pics and a video soon... So for stock id cut the exhaust right after the spring flange and extend it there.

I'll post up some pics when I mod my 3" turbo back for my 92 SS
I have enough room to place the systems side by side
