post facelift hood on pre facelift

so after giving up on finding a turbo hood that only fits 1 year i grabbed a 92 hood for my 91 na, it bolts right on and clears the backs of the fenders, but its about an inch longer so i shimmed the hood latch out with 4 washers on each bolt and it latches better than my stock unit,once i mold the corners back into the fenders it will over hang the lights and grille like an s197 bodied mustang, just thought it might open some options
