Peeling clearcoat from a bad respray and some failing headgaskets mean that this project was just a bit too much for me to deal with right now, so...it's finally gone.

Sad, but it's going to someone who will rebuild it:

As I mentioned on NASIOC.....it's sad to see it go, but I understand. Sounds like it was time to move on, and let someone else tackle it.

Does this mean you don't want the LSD anymore? Sorry I've been taking forever. I've been sick for a few days and haven't been over to my parents for a while.

I was going to get you a shipping quote as soon as I got my parts order in and finished up with installing my axles and driveline.

No big deal if you don't want it. This was the car it was going on right?

The GT had an LSD, so I was interested in it for the 98 wagon.

I'm a little on the fence about it. I mostly wanted the LSD for snow, but I'd like to test the Blizzaks and 5MT out in the snow first to see if I really do need it.

No rush.

My "L" does fine in the snow with the right tires, but it is way more fun AND controllable with the LSD. It's worth it to me if you got the money.

My 90 L 4EAT rocking studded snows owned in the snow! It was unbelievable. I've never driven so fast in the snow and basically no loss of control. I could floor it from a dead stop and barely loose any traction at all.

aaahhh that sucks, I know how projects can be a pain to keep (due to money, time, etc.)
But as you said, at least it will go to someone who will rebuild it. Good luck on whatever comes next! and thanks again for this creation of yours (the bbs) :D

Clever title. At least it's going to a good home.

He's actually asked me for the pics I had of it on jackstands, then putting it on the flatbed. He's going to document the build, so it should be pretty cool.

What forum is he on?

It's likely that he's on a local SLC forum, but I don't know that he's on any Legacy forum, yet. Former Audi S4 owner who learned really quick that he'd made a mistake and found the light in the Pleiades instead.
