Override automatic climate control in 90 LS Wagon?

So I have a 90 wagon with the super deluxe automatic climate control.
I'd like to use this car for running up to the mountains to go skiing, but the fact that the blower for the defrost/heater won't come on until the engine has completely warmed up is basically a deal killer.
Any thoughts on adding a 'blower on/off' toggle switch to this system?

That doesn't seem right. Shoot me a PM or email as a reminder and I'll try and look at the wiring diagrams for the auto climate control system to see if something may not be working right, if not, what you can do to get the blower to kick in.

I also have the climate control and I know that the heater blower won't come on until the engine temp begins to rise, but the defroster button goes to full blower speed to keep the windshield from fogging up. My blower will come on once the engine temp begins to rise and the engine doesn't have to be fully warmed up for it to work.

I emailed this to John, but for future reference if someone searches. This is from the FSM.
"In a cold start up condition where the engine temperature is below 90 deg F and the ambient temperature is below 59 deg F, the blower will not operate for a short period of time (up to 90 seconds). The exact start delay time varies depending on the ambient and engine temperature. In the most extreme case (very low ambient) the blower starting delay will be 90 seconds as described above. After this delay, the blower will operate at low speed until the engine temperature rises above 90 deg F, at which time the blower speed will increase to the objective speed."
The manual says it operates like this because:
"When cold starting in cold ambient temperatures, the blower operation will be delayed to prevent blowing cold air on the occupants feet."

Well, that was thoughtful of them, wasn't it? Sheesh... Personally, I'd be happy to have any blowing defrost, heat, etc. My HVAC control unit gave up the ghost months ago, and now that's it crappy out with snow, sub-freezing arctic temps, and the occasional ice storm, my only salvation has been a Rube Goldbergesque contraption consisting of a hastily mounted hair dryer running off of a 12 volt power inverter, copious quantities of Fog-X, plenty of duct tape, some 16 gauge copper wire, and some very creative (and defensive) driving.
It's an adventure to be sure, but interestingly enough, my 5 year old daughter doesn't really seem to relish the mechanical problem solving dynamics like I do... she just complains about being cold. Go figure.

Sounds pretty ingenious Bob
