does anyone know some of the symptoms of a failing front diff. I think mines going out but im not sure its hard to tell. Acts like a busted axle round corners but with more vibrations. But it cant be cause at idle if you rev the motor you get the same nasty vibration.

I think it is more than likely the center diff causing it to bind and tweaking the engine/trans causing the exhaust to tweak and open at some point. This is what happened to me and it eventually stripped the splines off my passenger side front axle and broke my mounts before I figured out what it was. After the mounts broke it would get bound and stay bound also made it hard to shift, idle rough and run hot sometimes. IDK why maybe pinching coolant hoses. If I were to put it in revers and lunge it with the wheels cranked one way or the other it would unbind and drive normal till I turned too sharp again.

FWIW: this is only applicable if you're talking about an AWD vehicle

I would suspect the center diff as well.

Sure it will, you'll have to use a rear diff that matches the new tranny.
