Road Trip to California

My plan as of now is to leave Houston on December 30th and drive to Californa. I'm planning to stay and visit with my grandparents in the Glendora area (near San Dimas). I'm anticipating being at their place Thursday the 31st in the evening.

I'll be there until Sunday, and then I'm going to be driving up to Santa Rosa Sunday during the day. I'll be in Santa Rosa during the week while the Legacy is getting the final tweaks done on the tune. I'm hoping they are finished by Thursday at the latest. When they're done, I'll be heading back.

This will be kind of a bonzai run, with a little bit of time here and there. Once I get up to Santa Rosa I'll probably have some time Monday evening, Tuesday, and Wednesday. So those of you in the San Fran area maybe we can meet up.

Have you been to the "most excellent" San Dimas HS? I had to go to pay tribute to the two most rocking dudes in Wyld Stallyns before I moved to WA. Course they are most likely bums living under a bridge by now :)

Leaving tomorrow.

Nobody from the San Fran area wants to try and get together?

Well I made it to Santa Rosa today. Stayed with the grandparents for a few days in Southern Cali. Weather out here is really nice. 70's and blue skies during the day.

Trip was pretty uneventful. I put a little more than 2,000 miles on the car....and she goes to get some tuning tweaks tomorrow :)

I just know you saw some of the most beautiful country on the trip. how's the car running after the tuning?

did you catch up with any board members while you were on the trip?

hoping all went well, be well and safe quick driving. oh yea were you able to open the legacy up during the trip. what MPH did you get it too?

best I ever get out of an SS was 134/5. had two riders in the car and a little down hill to get it there.

I didn't get to catch up with any board members.

Trip was pretty uneventful as for the drive goes. Car is running alright. There's a few minor things that need to be tweaked now that I'm back in Texas, but hopefully that can be ironed out this week. I'll post more when I do.

Awe man I wish I was a member of this forum back in 09 we could have met up! My grandparents live in San Dimas which is about an hour away from where I live! it would have been nice to meet up I really admire your car mine is just how yours was when you started out same color and all only difference is that it’s a 92 so there is a few differences but not many. I am also gathering parts 4 a 2WD to AWD swap and it would have been great to get some info on how you did yours and to see it and all that stuff o well though maybe next time you come out all have a lot more done to my legacy and then we will really have stuff to talk about :D

Yeah, it was a quick trip. Maybe next time. I get out to San Diego once in a while for work, and sometimes drive up to visit the grandparents. I'll post something if I'm in the area again.

Have you read my AWD & 5spd swap writeup on my site? If not, that should help a lot. Keep at it, that's the main thing I can say. I've been tinkering with mine for 15 years :)
