USDM Legacy Turbo?

I am looking to buy a 92-94 Legacy Turbo AWD in the future but how do I know if it is actually Turbo'd and AWD when just viewing the car online? Did they have hood scoops? I read on wikipedia in Japan and European countries they are called "Legacy Turbo RS" or just "Legacy RS". Are the Turbo's called RS's here in America?
Also, what websites would you reccomend me looking at for purchasing one? I've just been using craigslist, cars.com and etc... but its not giving me much to choose from.
Thanks, Chad.

This BBS is the best place to find leads on Turbos.
USDM turbos are called SS or Sport sedans. Wagons are TW or Touring Wagons.
All had hood scoops and moonroofs. Sedans had wings.

Was the SS AWD only or did it come in FWD too?

I don't think there is a USDM Turbo FWD Legacy. Most likely there never was any turbo non AWD Legacy....someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct, there were only awd turbos, no fwd. Also the turbo wagons only came in auto transmissions.
Crazedlist.com is great to find these. Its a compilation of al CL listings in the US. Type in "legacy turbo" that will get u the most results for these.

There was a fwd turbo listed on original Subaru literature, but the car never actually existed.

I would agree with this.

I'm thinking of telling people mine is a one-of-a-kind fwd turbo wagon prototype and using the sales literature as "proof".
