Found this site via NASIOC. Right now I'm a owner of 94 Accord with a good amount of work done to it, but in about two weeks I'll be the proud owner of a used 92 Legacy.

Always been a fan of Subies but never owned one.

I tried to google and even search NASIOC for an answer but I was hoping if anyone has an idea if the flat six swap has ever been done.

I've heard that the Subie engines are very easy to swap with out any major mods because of the flat design of the motors.

I'm not very familiar with the ej22's or even 25s but I've always found the flat six's to be someone unique.

Maybe any of you guys on the forums could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

What motors are able to be swaped into the first gen Legacy with ease?

Any EJ engine will fit in with ease. It's the wiring that is the hard part. There are writeups on this site for some common swaps such as putting the EJ22T into an NA car, a EJ20G (also a turbo) in, and EJ25D (NA with 35 extra HP than the 2.2) in.

As for flat 6 motors, there are two being done right now on the board, one by Lego. That requires a LOT of customization and grinding and cutting, along with the aforementioned wiring.

General consensus is that getting a motor that's turbo'd to begin with is the cheapest/easiest/most reliable way to get decent power in your ride.

I'd recommend starting in the engine and builds section on the board.
