I've got a set of WRX struts on Perrin lowering springs. I don't have personal pictures but they were on the Radio Flyer. I've got a post in the Parts Shed "Skidmore's Performance Parts Sale" I think it was that has P/N's on the springs.

Anyrate, if you're interested I'm looking for around $220 plus shipping for the whole bit or $190 plus shipping for just the springs (I really don't like taking struts apart).

It seemed to lower the car a good 1.5" or so.

Sweet very interested! Any clue as to mileage? I'd be looking at the whole assembly...

I'll do fine in winter. Had no problems last year and it was slammed then.

And Matthew... You sure I should do this???

You can call me Matt :P And it was a really good set-up. Just watch out for pot-holes because those aren't fun, but other than that I really liked the set-up

Haha ok... I actually put Matt.... then changed it LOL

You think pot holes on my current setup are fun??? SUPER Stiff springs, hella lowered, on shot struts? Yikes

yea I ALWAYS go by Matt, but that is the same as my email I set-up several years ago so I basically use the Mattheww044 Username for everything so its easy to remember....

ANYWAYS haha... I wasn't sure on your current set-up although I could have easily looked on your build thread and found out. I am no expert on suspension by any means, but I really liked this suspension, besides the potholes I mentioned. If you are already used to that, then you should be totally fine. Im sure your set up is MUCH worse haha... the shot struts alone makes me wanna cringe. Reminds me of a pothole in Spokane I hit in the only non Subaru Ive ever owned.. an MR2, anyways hit my head on the T-top, with a seatbelt on haha.

Anyways this seems like it would be a good set-up for you. Good price, great seller, and what your looking for. Id get it :P

O also, Im not exactly sure on the mileage. But it looks like Kelly installed them in the earlier months of 08 from reading the build thread. Not sure if he got them used or what. Speedo didnt work when I bought it cuz it was converted to RWD(very poorly might I add, wasn't Kelly btw). So the mileage is basically unknown to me, but they showed me no signs of failing what-so-ever. Lee would not sell anything that he would not put on his own car though, and his car already has a crazy suspension set-up. Best of luck and let me know how they are when you get them! Looking at doing something similar when I get money for the new car's suspension. Right now I can't stop dumping money into "performance" parts haha.

Matt - thank you for the kind words and helping answer some questions.

Spencer - Matt has as much history on this setup as anyone else on the board save for maybe Kelly. They are still strong. I would put the spring rate around the 200-220lb mark as they felt a little softer than the 250lbs I have in my car. One of the rear struts is a little softer than the others in that it doesn't damp quite as well. It doesn't feel blown but it is a tad softer than the other. That said, I wouldn't have any problems putting them on my car and if at some point you needed to get a single rear strut - you're still looking at a pretty good deal. So yeah, I think they're just fine and would work but I did want to make sure I was very up-front about the one.

Let me know if you want to keep moving forward with things and I'm sure we can work something out :).

We don't really have winter down here. Snows once or twice every winter and it's usually only 1-2" and gone in a day or two.

Kimo, that SUCKS! I can't go without snow, but unfortunately I basically had to this winter. I was SO stoked for rally-x, but it all got rained away immediately :(

Jordan and I are actually planning on going to Seattle this weekend so if you need a delivery we could figure something out to get them over to you.

Wonder how much shipping would be?

I plan on driving over to the West side of WA saturday to get some silver parts for my car and hopefully sell my NA axle back, Matt will probably be joining me.

So maybe we could work something out. Lee I could pick the struts up and drive them over to the Seattle area if smh0101 wanted to meet...might save money on shipping???

I'd have no problems with that if Spencer is cool with it. Him and I still need to work out details - although that is still dependant on him deciding he wants to go this route :).

I know he builds a really nice car and I don't want to rush him into a decision on something as important as suspension. This is all really his decision and my offer is just that, an offer.

But it is cool to see the BBS pulling together to try and save each other some money :).

Yeah for sure. If spencer wants to Im willing to drive them over and meet somewhere.

If everything works out, Hallowpoint will get my NA axle back, Ill get silver fenders and a hood  , and spencer will get some suspension goodies and we'll all be one big happy legacycentral family!

Spencer,

Great! I'll go ahead and start getting them boxed up. I'm in no particular rush to get them out the door so just let me know when you get back and we'll go from there. I'll send you a PM and we can start working out the payment details.

Thank you.
