Exhaust

Hey people,I would like some advice,or input on what to do about my
exhaust.I have a US spec 1993 Legacy Turbo. My current exhaust
includes a custom downpipe. This downpipe is beautifully
crafted, straight through design, and made out of stainless. The only
drawback to this pipe is that it is only 2.25"ID.I am also running a
straight through exhaust(2.25 also)the rest of the way back with the
stock muffler.I am definately going to replace the stock muffler, but
I was wondering what you people thought about going to a 2.5 or 3"
system from the downpipe back.Would this be worth it since my
downpipe is only 2.25"ID? BTW, I am also running K&N drop in filter
with the water separator removed, hallman boost controller at 12psi
and a huge(for a subaru) top mounted air/air intercooler. Thanks BillC
