Dyno run

I had a dyno run on Saturday morning and was very happy with my mods....
last dyno run I was running virtually standard, stock everything except for
apexi pod filter and modified rear muffler ( for more sound than anything ),
boost was 7psi, I got 95.2 kw at the front wheels. Now I was running 3"
downpipe, 3" mandrel bent Fujitsubo exhaust to fujitsubo rear muffler, apexi
pod filter and Blitz EBC set at 14psi and I reached 114.8kw @ 5553 rpm and
peak torque was 703Nm @ 3320 rpm .
I am happy cause so far these mods have only set me back a little under $600
NZ dollars.
However power does fall off quite quickly and assuming this may be
attributed to a dying auto trans so I am hanging out for my STI WRX Gear box
and rear diff. :)

Tommy Moffitt

Nice! But one question. Can you convert those to HP and Ft/Lbs of Torque for
those stateside that don't know?

Jason

No problems.
114.8KW at the wheels will be approximately 154BHP or horse power at the wheels.
Based upon 35% drive train loss should be 130.3KW at the flywheel or 175
horsepower
and I will work out torque in a minute......

Hmmm, are we using different Nm -units (European vs Australian),
cause my car showed 354Nm @ 3850rpm... and 154kW @ 5650 rpm at the
wheels... IIRC the BMW M5 (just as an example) produces 400HP and
500Nm torque.

Shit, I've always used 1.36 when converting kW to HP... now my car
only has 258HP.... :(
