hey,
the easiest thing to do, as these break quite frequently.. is to go get a metal nipple from the hardware store and to put over that spot where its broken..then melt abs plastic around it to create a seal... that way you can put a hose over the top of that and your pressure should remain legit.

Wow, that's an interesting fix, Zach. I've got some questions on that procedure:
1--What ABS plastic are you referring to...the kind that's found in the plumbing supply section of a hardware store?
2--Do you melt it with a torch?
3--Can a similar "fix" be done for the nipples on the coolant overflow container?

this is giving me a break from calculating operating cash flows so im stoked haha.
im referring to the kind you can like light on fire and it melts and drips and you can quickly re-shape it. you can use a lighter i think if you just have a small stick of the ABS plastic yeah. an even better idea would be some bondo. that stuff is ridiculously strong and will most likely work with the plastic. you can shape it easier too.
soo the problem with coolant overflow container is that it gets really hot and i imagine builds up more pressure than what happens inside teh resonator box. i would trust bondo in that location more than plastic because its not just air. it will make a better seal too. i would reinforce it with a metal nipple too.
your best bet with that is picking up a different overflow container, like a wrx metal one or a new metal one. i have one for sale if you need one.

Good idea... i might give it a try... at first, it broke and then i fixed it with superglue lol... but when it dried, and when i wanted to connect it, it snaped again, but this time, nipple stayed in hose... I`ll give it a try, tnx

okay you can use a smaller then the opening drill bit. you first have to go to an automotive or plumbing shop. you will need to bring a piece of the vacuum hose for a size check. they will have vacuum ports fittings with threaded ends on one side and a smooth nipple on the other. believe they are called vacuum port. but don't hold me to that.
next you will use a drill and slowly drill into the chamber as to not make the hole any bigger then needed. the drill bit should be very close in size to the threaded end as possible. on a vacuum port this is not so bad.
but on the coolant tank this would be very important. if you are drilling into the tank you need to drill straight into the tank. the closer to the size the better the turn out will be. you see the way to make it fail is to use a fitting that is to big and end up putting a split in the plastic tank by way of opening the hole to much and causing it to split the seam.
I have used both. most of the time it works out pretty well. what can it hard is taking the time to go slowly the whole time you are doing it.
okay the pressure inside the coolant tank is only about 13-17 psi tops. it does not take a super hold to keep it in places. that said you do wish to get it in till the end of the threads if at all possible. still half way will work if that is all that will go in without messing it up.
hope this tips will hold up. let me know what happens and good luck with the repairs.
be well and stay safe. Daniel
oh yea

if that does not work out let me know. pretty sure I have one up at the house. thing is I may not get there till monday this week coming.
so if you would let me know how it goes. what would you offer for it? no not to hurt you just to cover cost of getting it and then shipping. would have to find out about flat rate international.
either way I would try the repair idea first. it has work many times for me.
good luck. Bepa
