This is my 1962 honda 55 moped thing I got for $50, $20 later I had it running. The next day I was offered $350 for it. I still have it and did some mods( I don't have the pics yet). This thing is fun to ride and to pick up the chicks(they will have to hold the oil if they want to ride(I carry oil becuase it leaks some every now and then)

i don't have any more pics of it in the stock form, only in its modded form, which i will have to post later.

it had a 50cc engine in it when i got it. i don't think it had rings in it anymore because it smoked like a 2 stroke haha. im not sure what it gets for MPG. all i know is that since i got the thing almost 2 years ago i have just put my 14th dollar in it. It holds one gallon of gas i think. i decided it wasn't fast enought so i decided to build it a bit. BTW it went 50 with the valves floatin with the stock engine.

Mod list :D

03 honda 70cc engine
minor shaved head
race cam
race tires (hard as hell to find)
race coil
race rev box
minor porting
custom intake riser
custom exh haha
custom head lights
custom spark plug gap
no front breaks, rears work sometimes
painted the wheels red, spokes black
no rear tail light
new chain and bigger drive sproket
i don't go over 50mph because it is really scary :-D

Is that a Mo-Ped? I don't believe it is, but the engine does look real similar to the '68 Street 90 that I had when I was a kid. Loads of fun riding that thing around I had. It would do 85 or 90 mph and it had electric start.

ha ya they are all the same thing. its not really a moped but that is what i call it. they were all the same engine design, just cc difference. and the cool thing is that all the little honda engines have almost the same engine mounting holes.

mopeds rock! dont care what motorcycle riders think about them. my buddies have a scooter repair place here. they mostly have zumas and vinos with big bore kit and pipe. one of em is fightered too, with pit bike front end and bmx handlebars. best hooliganism vehicle made. invisible to cops one of the other scooter people has a puch that will do about 65-70, it's insane.

ruckus's suck. they are 4t so super slow, expensive to work on, and the crank/flywheel is heavy as shit. like probably 5 pounds. about all theyre good for is looking cool and getting good gas mileage.

Here are some of the pics i took today and this camera that is on my phone sucks, this is with it modded. BTW it also has a light flywheel.
I also have an on-board video i took one day. it is really good. i will have to see if i can find it. So when i modded it i couldn't get the factory light, turn signals, or horn to work. but i figured i didn't need them.

Well, that's exactly what they were made for. City riding and great gas mileage. I like the way they look and wouldn't want to do 70+ mph on something that small and dangerous anyways. I wouldn't mind if it would do 55 though so I could ride it to work and be able to keep up on the highway.

BTW, that moped is pretty sweet lookin! Would be cooler if you could get the lights to work and not have to use flashlights taped to the light lol.
