Just so I'm hearing this correctly, you are offering the Phase 1 bare block with good bores for $15 plus shipping?
If so, do you have a ball park estimate on shipping to 83836? I'm very interested

Yeah I'd take it for that much and I have no use for it lol. But shipping is gonna make it not worth it.

The thing is I have several phase I blocks. Just each half of the block meaning no crank. I have some rods and pistons but not a full set. The crank/rod was bad. I was going to build the 2.5L block/2.2L heads but went with a phase II block. Then I thought about the 2.3L option but I bought the Suzuki rally car so all my efforts are going into this. The blocks seem good and it would be a crime to just junk them. So I figure someone can use them and I make a little towards my Suzuki rebuild. Checking with USPS I figure around $40 for shipping.

Chris,
Perfect! I'll send a PM over around lunch time or so to work out the details. But you may consider one of them gone. I've been wanting to build the 2.5/2.2 combo for my OBW for some time and this is a great/cheap way to do.
Or I may just slowly build a 2.5 for my SS. Eitherway, having a good block will be a good start.

I have the 2.2 heads, some rods, Phase I and II pistons. PHase I give around 10.5.1 CR and Phase II 11.5.1 CR I have the Phase I in my Phase II block. I think I have all the block bolts etc. PM me and we can work it out. I'm off to Costa Rica this weekend so I could ship out before I leave.

I'll probably take the 2.2 bottom end (non-turbo, I'm assuming...) if shipping to 99009 isn't too bad...

The 2.2L bottom end wieghs more then USPS will take. Via UPS I would figure arond $90 to most places. I going to check the weight tomorrow. I think it must at least 90LBS.

I have left the coil $15 the steering uni joint, 2.2L bottom end which weighs a hefty 86LBS , 2.5L Phase I block , 1 set Phase II pistons no rings or pins $20. 2.2L non roller rocker type cams $15 the pair(good as core cams for Delta cam regrind?) 2.2L cam wheels $3 each, 2.2L head less cam/rockers $10 2.2L intake $5 2.2L standard header and cat $10 cheap prices but stuff that is just sitting there doing nowt......all funds go to the Suzuki rally car build.
I still have the Rally Legacy.....Never giving that up!

I shipped block halves via Greyhound for pretty cheap. The two block halves don't weigh much (~40 lbs.? I could carry them easily)—it's the size of the package that hurts (that's what she said!).

anyone can tell me what the difference between phase 1 and phase 2?

by rally370
The Phase I has smaller crank bearings and a center thrust bearing position the same as the EJ22 in the center. The Phase II has the thrust bearing at the end and different size crank bearings.
Yeah I've figured spliting the block is cheaper to ship.....Not always is "big is better"

Glad everyone got there parts OK. Problem is the 2.2L weighs around 85lbs so USPS won't ship. I figure UPS and FEdEx will be expensive. I'm going to check Greyhound.

With Grey hound I have to drop it off at the Boston depot and you pick it up at CharlottesVille for about $85 which makes it an expensive bottom end.
