my 91 steering rack was leaking fluid out the passenger side piston so i replaced it with a 99 legacy rack for the time being. instead of it laying around in the closet i would like to reseal it and maybe use it again for the quicker turn ratio. looking over the rack, i cant tell how to access the parts that come in the Subaru seal kit. has anyone done this before?
any input, pictures would help thanks

ordered my reseal kit from subaru. I've been reading websites that have done this with similar racks and should be close to ours. pictures will be taken.

I will be watching your progress. The rack on my 91 sedan has more leaks than can be counted

I'm not sure if mine is leaking but I think both boots are torn. Or maybe just one. How much was the seal kit and what's the part number(s)?
